2015 Research Grant
Established in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the 2015 PKS Research Grant, amounting to 30,000 Euros, was largely funded by donations received during the "Una Cena per Sara - 2014" event, from family and friends of Sara, a child affected by PKS, and from the Rotary Club of Bergamo.
The award ceremony took place during "A Dinner for Sara - 2015," an event organized in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Bergamo's social gathering.
The winner of the 2015 Research Grant was Dr. Emanuela Salzano, a pediatric geneticist, who will spend a year at the Department of Genetics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, led by Professor Ian Krantz, to conduct studies on Pallister-Killian Syndrome.
